About the Author

Y. Sun

Y. Sun is the pen name of author Yaron Shemesh

Born in 1970, Yaron grew up in a place where he and his friends ran around barefoot, playing in fields and groves without parental supervision or screens. Back then, parents were busy working, and screens were a much smaller part of life. Today, he is married to Smadar and together they raise three children: Ofek, Dor, and Adva, and a dog named Alice (looks like Charlie from the series).

Today, after 26-year career in hi-tech at companies like Motorola and Sony, he has decided to take a break. During his career, he was involved in groundbreaking technological and social projects, holds several patents, and traveled extensively around the world (logging over a million air miles).

In the past, he wrote two books: The Worm (a science fiction novel, which even back then touched on themes of artificial intelligence and big data, though not by those names) and Soul Heroes (a novel about a mid-life crisis for adults).

He is now writing and publishing a young adult series called "The Secret Alliance." The first three books in the series are planned to be The Power of Diversity, The London Trip, and The Shanghai Trip.

The series blends imagination with inspiration from his childhood experiences and life knowledge, including his travels and encounters with interesting people and different cultures around the world.

"The Secret Alliance" was written for young readers and combines excitement, suspense, and mystery with educational content.

Yaron's goal, beyond the fun and interest of reading an adventure series, is to provoke modern thought (using modern tools like cyber and artificial intelligence), with an emphasis on values and acceptance of others.
